“Through Rotary, we are Making a Difference in the world; and the more involved we become, the more of a difference Rotary makes to each of us. Rotary challenges us to become better people: to become ambitious in the ways that matter, to strive for higher goals, and to incorporate Service Above Self into our daily lives.”  - Rotary President Ian Riseley

We believe in Rotary and want others to have the opportunity for Rotary service, leadership, and fellowship that we enjoy.

President's Message

I am truly humbled by this opportunity to serve.  Rotary International is 112 years old and Potomac Club is 57 years old this year.  Rotary must be doing something right for over a century to attract raving fans like Bill Gates as well as Ashton Kutcher.  It has evolved more in the last 5 years than in the previous 100 years.  Now our focus is more on engagement over attendance so we welcome you to check us out.  I invite you to consider the Potomac Rotary for your social and service fulfillment.  Rotary is the only NGO with a seat at the UN; because of its shared vision for peace and the critical humanitarian activities around the world.  The job is big enough and there is work for everyone.  There is no money in Rotary work but it’s worth a fortune.

I aspire to make our club as diverse as the Potomac community while attracting more female members as well.  We are launching a 40 under 40 program to make Rotary membership attractive for the younger members of our community.  Our club presently has members ranging from 25 to 85 years young.   Potomac Rotary Club is offering membership scholarships for Potomac Area High School teachers. To learn more, feel free to email me at Anila.Khetarpal@gmail.com. or give me a call on my cell phone 202-288-0854.  Yours in Rotary Service!
